One of the damage types in Hellgate: London is Fire Damage. Many weapons in the game deal fire damage such as Molten Edge swords and Exothermic Rifles. A player can also add Fire Damage to a weapon by placing a Mod with the Fire Damage property in it.
- When fire damage is dealt there is a chance (based on the Ignite Strength of the attack and the Ignite Defense of the target) that the target will be affected by the status effect Ignite which drains the target's health by 5% per second for a short time.
